Prof. Sheetal Bhasin is currently working as a Professor and Head of the Department of Biosciences since 1997. She has worked on the optimization of methodology for fermentative production of Glucose Isomerase from Streptomyces species for her doctoral degree. She holds an experience of 23 years in teaching and training students from school to research level in the field of microbial biotechnology. She has national and international publications in the field of fermentative production of bioactive biomolecules by Actinomycetes, analytical and applied microbiology. She has eight NCBI submissions of promising bioactive compound-producing Streptomycete isolates. She is guiding Ph.D. students registered in DAVV, Indore. She is a member in the examination panel in various universities for Ph.D. viva, Ph.D. thesis evolution, Post graduate, and Under graduate examination. She is actively involved in research and industrial consultation. She has active collaboration with industries and educational institutes. Her research students have won awards for their research work in various conferences. She has delivered invited talks in various conferences and has more than 50 conference presentations. She has guided around 60 students for their Post Graduate level research project and 8 Undergraduate level projects. She has been a member, of the Board of Studies, Microbiology, DAVV, Indore, and VC appointed member Examination Committee, Microbiology, DAVV, Indore. She has developed 15 e-content modules for Swayam online coursed developed by UGC Consortium for Educational Communication India under National Mission on Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, India (2015-2016). She has been a coordinator for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2019-2020 and Microbiology and Immunology (2019-2019 and 2017-2018) courses offered by Swayam Massive Open Online Courses by the Ministry of Human Resources has conducted Development. She did numerous Skill development workshops, seminars, conferences, and industrial visits. She is actively involved in enhancing students' horizons by organizing tours every year.
